About Campbell County Court Records

Court records in Campbell County, Kentucky are split among the Circuit Court Clerk, the County Clerk, the Detention Center, law-enforcement agencies, and statewide Kentucky court systems. Finding the right office first matters because Circuit Court, District Court, marriage licensing, jail records, and land records all use different custodians. This site is a private reference for those public record paths.

Why We Built This Site

Kentucky gives the public broad access to existing public records, but Campbell County records are not held by one office. The Circuit Court Clerk at the Newport courthouse keeps Circuit Court and District Court files. The County Clerk handles marriage licenses, land records, elections, vehicle records, delinquent taxes, and notary recordings. The Campbell County Detention Center handles jail records, while sheriff and police records depend on which agency created the record.

Campbell County also has a two-office pattern that can confuse visitors. Court users go to the courthouse at 330 York Street in Newport. County Clerk users may need the Newport office on Monmouth Street or the Alexandria office on West Main Street. The goal is to make those local differences clear before someone searches the wrong portal or calls the wrong office.

What You Will Find Here

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Kentucky court, Campbell County clerk office, sheriff's office, detention center, police department, or state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:

  • We cannot file pleadings, motions, expungement papers, or open-records requests on your behalf
  • We cannot issue certified copies of court records, marriage licenses, divorce decrees, probate records, or jail records
  • We cannot give legal advice, interpret a court order, or predict what a judge may do in a specific case
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, address, court date, or procedure is current at the moment you use it

Only the issuing Kentucky court or Campbell County government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal.
